Nearly 650 exhibitors and a total of three thousand industry professionals have come together at the Porte de Versailles exhibition center in southern Paris for this 61st edition of the Paris Boat Show that started on December 2nd.
An invitation-only evening preceded the opening of the doors to the general public on Saturday, December 3 at 10:00 am. Charles Caudrelier, recent winner of the Route du Rhum and adventurer Mike Horn (patron of the 2022 edition) were there, as well as many prominent political figures.
More than 700 boats are on display and 170,000 visitors are expected to attend. While ecological transition and innovation are clearly in evidence at the show, multihulls are a rare sight: is the in-door show formula reaching its limits with the energy crisis? Is the attractiveness of a show in an urban environment now up for debate? These are all questions that France’s Nautical Industries Federation, in charge of the show, is asking itself.
