Day 2
The event is in fact two separate boat shows held in the same spot, but a week apart. The Powerboat Show, dedicated just to powerboats (417 units on display), was held from October 3 to 6, followed by the Sailboat Show from October 10 to 14. It’s the latter of the two that we’ve selected for you. The event provided an opportunity to take stock of how the multihull sector is taking hold in the United States: we counted 56 two- or three-hull units compared with 96 monohulls, totaling nearly 30% of the offer. Although some exhibitors’ delivery trips to the show were hampered by the hurricanes further south, the Current 46, the Leopard 46 and the Xquisite Sixty Solar Sail all made their world premiere.
