Hurricane 6.5

The last World 1000 (Florida, USA) was won by Smyth on a 21 foot prototype, the result of the expertise of R. Roake - aeronautical engineer and Randy Smyth, olympic gold medallist on the Tornado, and reknowned designer of sails intended for all types of multihulls. The basic idea of this machine is for the catamaran to plane, this usually being limited by the shape of its hull, to a speed of 20 knots for approximately 6 meters at the waterline.
