Windelo 54 Yachting

A second (pollution-free) catamaran ready to sail

A year after the launch of the 50 Adventure, the young builder Windelo Catamarans have unveiled their 54, this time in a Yachting version - the most luxurious and the most accomplished in terms of finishes.

The overall silhouette is close to that of her smaller sistership, but the hulls have inverted bows with an accentuated slope and the nacelle is set further aft. The shipyard expects to achieve a 10% gain in terms of performance, with a displacement of only 12.8 tons making for a particularly fast catamaran... As for construction, the shipyard has developed an eco-responsible composite sandwich made of basalt fiber and PET foam to reduce the multihull's environmental footprint by 47%. Zig-Zag is equipped with two electric motors of 20 kW each and a 1,120 Ah battery bank, allowing 4 hours of 100% electric use under way per day. For recharging, priority has been given to green energies such as hydrogen generation, solar power (up to 4,839 Wp) and wind generation.
This very first Windelo 54 will be based in Hyères in the South of France and will start her skippered charter program following her very first presentation to the public at the International Multihull Show in La Grande Motte.
