Vaan, based in Hellevoetsluis, in the Netherlands, has been undertaking the first tests of its R4, a top-of-the-range, aluminum catamaran.
The arrival of the cold weather didn’t dampen the team’s motivation as they hoisted a beautiful set of sails signed by Quantum. Anxious to respect the environment, the builder has used 50% recycled aluminum from window frames, roadsigns and license plates. Other ecological materials such as cork or plant-based alternatives to leather also feature.
