The 'Little Cup'

Everyone knows about the America's Cup, which will be raced for in 2013 on 72-foot catamarans. But there is also the 'Little' Cup, which since 1961 has allowed all nations to race according to a rule which seems quite simple: two crew members on 7.62m x 4.2m sailing boats, with a sail area of 27.8m...and that's all.

A simplicity which has allowed incredible technical development, because to win, the most innovative technologies have been tried...
The Swiss are preparing for the next 'Little' Cup, which will take place in England in September 2013, with the Hydros project, designed by VPLP, built by Decision SA using a method which is closer to aeronautics than boatbuilding (Thin Ply Technology) and led by an internationally renowned skipper, whose name is for the moment being kept secret...
Without a doubt, a serious candidate to win this 'Little Cup'…
