Young Australian-based architect Dan Bradford has sent us the first renderings of a high-performance trimaran project.
The design has now been validated, and construction will shortly begin on the Gold Coast, north of Sydney. This multihull dedicated to pure performance doesn’t yet have a name, nor does it have a cabin. In the final analysis, it’s almost a scale model of a Diam 24. The trimaran is much simpler than the Diam, with just two appendages - a daggerboard and a rudder under the central hull. The folding system is innovative, as the floats fold down onto the central hull thanks to hinges positioned in the middle of the connecting arms.
