Speed meeting

Since 2007, all the speed run enthusiasts in the world have been meeting up for the 'Lüderitz Speed Challenge' in Namibia, where the conditions are idyllic for breaking records.

The proof: after the construction of a dedicated canal in 2009 the records fell one after the other, including the ultimate record - 55.65 knots, in 2010.
In 2011, the organisers decided to improve what they could, to offer 'the fastest course possible'. The result: a new canal has been dug and the enthusiasts should be meeting there to try and break the 60-knot barrier!!!
From 5th November to 2nd December, the kites (record at 55.65 knots), windsurfers (50.7) and above all boats (51.36 knots) will be meeting up to finally find out...who is the fastest!
