SAINT BARTH CATA CUP

The eulogistic comments by the participants in the fifth edition of the Saint Barth Cata Cup leave no doubts: this event is absolutely magic and has succeeded in just a few years in becoming a 'must' for all lovers of sport cats and sailing in the tropics.

Once again this year, the organisers found the right format, allowing both champions and enthusiasts to have fun and enjoy this week to the full, a week where all the elements were brought together to make a good festival: the weather, with very settled trade winds which blew at 10 to 15 knots every day, varied courses, lunch breaks and evenings with a grandiose atmosphere.
For the record, and as it was nevertheless a real regatta (six coastal races were validated, including one round the island), note that you had to attend the last leg to find out who was the winner of this 2012 edition, which was raced in Formula 18s. Finally, the Puerto Ricans Kiké and Kéki Figueroa dominated, ahead of the Americans John Casey and Dalton Tebo.
