Having spent several years with Barcelona as its destination, the MYBA Charter Yacht Show docked in Genoa to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
This is a very exclusive show: not just anyone can enter the MYBA boat show, since access is reserved exclusively for charter professionals and journalists. The 2024 edition welcomed 1,030 participants, including 570 brokers and some 573 crew members. Quite a turnout for the opening cocktail party that was friendly, chic and relaxed.
A total of 58 yachts (9 of which were over 200 feet/60 meters long) were moored in parade fashion on two huge quays. Catamarans strategically placed at the crossroads enjoyed heightened visibility, attracting a great deal of attention and requests for appointments.
This year, four catamarans attended. From the “smallest” to the largest, Multihulls World was able to discover the Lagoon 620 Cat Shida (Moncada), the Lagoon 630 Lady C (Floating Life), the Lagoon Seventy 7 Cat Tua (Ocean Drive, Captain Borja Infante), and the brand-new Sunreef 80 ECO Otoctone, largely draped in solar panels (Sunreef Yacht Charter, Captain Achille Lefrere).
