Motive: the new generation of trimarans

Here is an exciting boat: Motive is a trimaran, built in carbon, which is resolutely performance-oriented, but remains accessible to the greatest possible number of people.

We therefore find a fully-battened mainsail for performance, but no boom, to avoid being hit on the head… In the same spirit, an ingenious system called Motive Quickstow allows a reef to be taken in easily or the mainsail to be furled. The boat is also foldable, so it can be easily transported, and you can even use it folded, under power... Depending on what you want, you can therefore, with the same basic boat, have a real 'mini MOD 70' or a motor dayboat. Interesting! The first four examples are currently being built, and we should be seeing the first one in the USA, at the Newport Boat Show in September, and at the Paris Boat Show in December. Finally, the price of this superb 25' high tech trimaran is advertised as 85,000 euros, inc. VAT. We can't wait for the test!
