The success of Lagoon’s Premium range continues unabated (almost 50 SIXTYs and as many SEVENTYs have been built), so it’s not really a surprise that the shipyard is announcing a new EIGHTY model, which, like the smaller models, will most probably be available in both sail and motor versions.
This time, Lagoon seems to be breaking the famous 24 m (78 ft) barrier: above this size, “superyacht” regulations are much more demanding. We can also assume that the Thíra 80 and its Power 80 engine version launched last year by Fountaine Pajot have only strengthened the motivation of the teams dedicated to the development of the Premium range - a project like this requires 2 to 3 years of work from the initial sketches through to actually launching... the sketches are all we have for now, so here they are!
