Albatross Marine Design, based in Thailand, offers a compact powercat for expeditions or professional use.
This 40-foot (12-meter) catamaran built in aluminum is distinguished by its large bow deck and its bow door comparable to that of a ferry. It is therefore possible to disembark onto a quay or even onto the beach, directly from the bow. The Kalan 12 is propelled by two 250 HP outboards: the maximum announced speed is 45 to 50 knots (30 to 35 knots for cruising speed). The Kalan 12 can carry 16 people on board.
