Green Pacific, the Polynesian-style motor catamaran

Designed by NG Yachts (which also designed the Catathai 34 and 40, as well as the aluminium Kat’Alu 42 catamarans), Green Pacific is a passenger catamaran which has just gone into service in Tahiti.

This working boat is intended for taking tourists on the lagoon, and was built in aluminium at NSI. There is no doubt, we recognize the inspiration of Polynesian pirogues in this new boat, authorised to carry 40 passengers. Which just goes to show that it is possible to build a modern boat without turning your back on tradition...
The architect is currently working on two aluminium catamarans: a 60-foot trawler and a 47’ ocean-going catamaran, which it seems is rather fast. To be continued...
