13 crews from 10 different countries got together on Lake Garda in Italy for the first GC32 World Championship.
The Extreme Sailing Series and GC32 Racing Tour fleets met for 4 days’ racing and 16 legs raced, in the varied conditions that only Lake Garda can provide.
At the finish, Team Tilt (Switzerland) won, ahead of SAP and Oman Air. Alinghi finished 4th, making Ernesto Bertarelli the first of the ‘owner-drivers’.
This event was also the launch of the 2018 GC32 Racing Tour. At the end of this first regatta of the year, Norauto skippered by Franck Cammas is in the lead
