The largest indoor boat show in the world will now not be taking place as scheduled, January 22 to 30. This will come as a very hard blow for Boot, already forced to skip a year in 2021.
Following the measures decreed by the German government to counter the wave of Covid-19 infection that the country is now witnessing, the organizers of Boot Düsseldorf ultimately had to resolve to throw in the towel. The pressure on the event – one of the most major dates in the boating calendar - had already been nearing maximum since the Paris Boat Show: following this year’s “Le Nautic” show, most major French manufacturers had announced their defection en masse. In the fallout from this, several Italian, Finnish and even German builders took the same decision. This cascade of cancellations resulted in a major reorganization of the show halls, ahead of the actual event itself being postponed indefinitely.
