Having announced in 2016 a Superyacht catamaran project of over 50 meters with a particularly sophisticated set of specifications, BlackCat, the brand created by Australian champion Mitch Booth, is now presenting a project for a 35 meter catamaran.
A boat which is able to respond to the current popularity for ultra-performance, luxury multihulls. The designer Malcolm McKeon, known for creating no less than 50 yachts over 30 meters, has put his mark on the pioneering lines for this 35 meter boat which represents an alternative to a multihull in the 40-45 meter range, but with far superior performance. The planned construction, intended to be fully carbon, by Baltic Yachts, and the ultra-modern design of the interior will give the air of a Wally, but with two hulls. With a cruising speed under sail (by North Technology) of 20 knots and a 32 knot maximum, it will be touching the potential of the recent Vitalia II (ex-Orange II, transformed by François Bich) but with 6 spacious cabins able to accommodate 8 passengers, a crew at their service and a very big living space in a minimalist style…
