Whether they’re joining us from the motorboat or cruising sailboat sectors, historic monohull manufacturers are continuing to succumb to the multihull temptation...
The latest is the Baltic Yachts shipyard in Finland, known the world over for its particularly luxurious monohulls, which has now added its very first multihull, the Baltic 107, to its production. The builder’s mastery of composites (a full-carbon option was chosen) guarantees excellent build quality and controlled weight specifications. The catamaran will be able to produce energy when under sail, so as to reduce fuel consumption as much as possible - and therefore also noise pollution and carbon emissions.
This new catamaran, designed by Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design, adopts very classic - even timeless - lines, but preserves beautiful interior volumes. The Baltic 107 is scheduled for launch in the summer of 2027.
