Only just back from the Düsseldorf Boat Show, the team from AstusBoats launched the Sport + version of the Astus 20.2 for first tests...which were encouraging, even though the winter's Arctic cold didn't encourage them to sail much.
So the builder has concentrated on the project for the 24-footer. In fact, faced with the increasing demand for bigger, faster trimarans, which are also more comfortable, without however spoiling the seakeeping qualities of its trimarans, AstusBoats decided to present a brand new 24-footer. This trimaran will retain everything that has made the range a success - the ease of use, the fact that it is easily transportable and of course, the performance under sail. 7.4m long and 5.25m wide, the Astus 24 is advertised as weighing just 750 kg. The interior will be spacious, with a big saloon/galley and a forecabin with a WC. The launch of the first example is expected in 2013... Information: www.astusboats.com
