ARC January 2023

12 multihulls on the startline

Following the first edition in 2022, the ARC January 2023 saw 30 boats gather in Las Palmas to cross the Atlantic bound for Rodney Bay in Saint Lucia.

Due to a lack of space in the departure and arrival ports, the organizers - World Cruising Club - were able to measure the relevance of their bet to create a third transatlantic rally during the trade wind season. It’s worth noting that this third event is the one that brings together the highest proportion of multihulls - 12 out of 30 boats entered, i.e. 40% of the fleet! Among these multihulls, there are 10 catamarans and 2 trimarans, with the overall fleet comprising crews representing 16 nationalities. Departure took place on January 15th.
