On October 2, it was still 94°F (34° C) on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay... but let’s be honest, it won’t last forever. Annapolis is now a go-to city in October for those of you multihull enthusiasts.
This old town, located only 30 miles east from Wahsington, welcomes two boat shows in the fall: the first one, from Oct 3-6 is dedicated to powerboats – and therefore to powercats. A second one, in the same marina from Oct 10-14, will showcase all the sailboats – and so our beloved sailing multihulls. A lot of builders are expected there, including Antares Catamarans, Aquila, Balance Catamarans, Bali Catamarans, Catana, Corsair Marine, Dragonfly, Excess, Fast Forward Composites, Fountaine Pajot, Gemini Catamarans, Knysna, Lagoon, Leopard Catamarans, Nautitech, Neel Trimarans, Ocean Explorer, Outremer Yachting, Privilège Catamarans, Seawind, St Francis Marine...
This is precisely this very international presence that lead us to choose these boat shows – especially the sail one – to announce the nominees for the 2020 Multihull of the Year election.
To be continued, very soon!
