A motor catamaran adapted for wheelchairs.

This new concept for a 12-metre motor catamaran comes from Thailand.

Designed by Albatross Marine Design, this cat is aimed at the skipper in a wheelchair, to meet a growing demand, according to the designer. Three million people in the United States get around in a wheelchair, yet less than ten adapted catamaran platforms exist...
After a detailed study of the expectations of these very special sailors, the result is here: a 12-metre catamaran, propelled by 2 x 200hp outboards, allowing it to reach 20 knots fully laden. Inside, we find the owner’s cabin underneath the coachroof, whilst three guest cabins are fitted in the hulls. Finally, Albatross has thought up an easy-to-fit system for embarkation/disembarkation.
