Presented as a preview at the 2018 Dubai Boat Show, the 40 Open Sunreef Power in fact renews the multihull ‘genre’. Just 40 feet long (12.75 m), the 40 Open is capable of reaching a top speed of 60 knots, and a cruising speed of 35. Because the aim here is to offer a day cruiser, to go out and have fun at sea during the day, and return to enjoy the port in the evening… We therefore find a platform with folding bulwarks, to increase the living area at anchor.

As always at Sunreef, the 40 Open Power can be completely customized. The proof? A ‘Diamond’ version exists, with a particularly sparkling appearance, whose launch is planned for this summer. Why ‘Diamond’? Quite simply because the exterior finish is in diamonds, no less (Sun King® Diamond Coating is the only natural diamond-based coating in the world)! This incredible boat (whose price hasn’t been revealed) is equipped with two 860 hp Mercury Racing engines. Enough to go from the port to the anchorage rather quickly.

And if ever this isn’t fast enough, note that the builder is currently working on a foiling version of the catamaran, which is definitely not like any other…
