“The St Barth Cata Cup: A memorable event!”

This was my first time, but certainly won’t be the last! This gathering of F18 enthusiasts – small, high-speed catamarans - has been held in St Barts for 12 years now.

More than just a regatta, it's a kind of family reunion that allows young and old alike to experience some real moments of excitement. Most of the racers come as a family, and even to “regatta” as a family! Four days of intensive racing, absolutely perfect weather, and happy crews: this was a successful edition. There were a few bumps and scrapes that’ll be remembered, some impressive capsizes and a beautiful victory by Jean-Christophe Mourniac and Antoine Rucard, that was extremely tight on the last leg! What’s really impressive is the organization that goes into the Cata Cup. It’s very eagerly awaited every year, and the result is 5-star service and outstanding logistics! Hats off to the winners, but also to the organizers! See you next year!
