iKonvert: A new NMEA2000/NMEA0183 converter

Digital Yacht have just launched a bidirectional converter for NMEA2000-NMEA0183 designed to facilitate connections between networks. iKonvert is available in two versions: ISO (with NMEA0183 wires) and USB for PC, Mac and Raspberry Pi. This new hardware is particularly useful for connecting instruments such as a chartplotter that only has a NMEA2000 interface to other instruments with a NMEA0183 interface.

A typical application of the iKonvert is to allow instruments with an NMEA0183 interface. Alternatively, the NMEA2000 network data can be broadcast on PC navigation software. iKonvert is easily configurable with integrated DIP switches allowing a multitude of possible conversion modes to suit any type of installation. Installation is very easy: simply connect the iKonvert's NMEA2000 cable to the NMEA2000 network, and the iKonvert will self-power.
