Finish line in Grenada!

The organizers of World Cruising Club rallies have just announced that Grenada will be the new destination in the southern Caribbean for the 9th annual ARC+, in 2021.

Since its launch in 2013, this transatlantic route has departed every year from Gran Canaria with a stopover in Mindelo Marina, Cape Verde, before crossing the traditional finish line in Saint Lucia. This rally has become so popular with cruisers sailing under the ARC banner that two Caribbean landings (in St. Lucia and St. Vincent) have been necessary since 2017 to accommodate all the boats. From now on, the 100 participants of the ARC+ (the rally is already sold out) will all finish their transatlantic race together in Port Louis Marina. The departure, scheduled for November 7 from Las Palmas, will also offer an additional day of stopover in Mindelo. The fleet will restart for Grenada on November 19 for an arrival scheduled between December 1 and 6. The rally will conclude with the awards ceremony on December 9, 2021. No change for the classic ARC (also sold out), which will head directly, as has been the custom since 1986, for Saint Lucia from Las Palmas on November 21.
