Although the multihull market is back at cruising speed following a period of post-Covid euphoria, it hasn’t really seen a crisis, despite the sharp rise in inflation and interest rates. In this slightly more rational economic context, the Cannes Yachting Festival is more than ever the world’s Master of Ceremonies for the season, with 700 boats from 15 to 160 feet (5 to 50 meters) in length presented in an exceptional setting - including more than 70 multihulls spread between the two ports occupied by the show. As for more detailed trends, there is strong demand for 35- to 40-foot units (both sail and power), an explosion in the market for small powercats, now occupied by major players in both sailing and traditional motorboating, and a good performance by multiyachts. There has also been an increase in the number of forever green players - and that’s great news!
