After our “failure” to rendezvous in Tunisia, it was in Dénia, Spain, that we were finally able to discover the Aventura 38 Sport Cruiser #1.
This new powercat is a modular platform, as it will be available in a Sport version with a shorter roof, a Sedan version with an enclosed nacelle and finally a Flybridge version. On all the versions, there is a cockpit featuring a large aft platform and adjustable beach club-style bulwarks. The manufacturer has favored neat joinery, a luxurious finish and the use of noble materials, such as mirror-polished solid stainless steel and Corian. As for the joinery, it is perfectly crafted. The boat we tested was equipped with twin 320 HP motors - the standard engines range from 2 x 250 to 370 hp inboard (Yanmar). Enough to get this machine flying, with 30 knots in your sights for the (lighter) Sport version, but the energy transition hasn’t been overlooked either, with a dual electric drivetrain of 2 x 100 kW also available.
