There appears to be no stopping the French equipment manufacturer: in the space of a month, the group which had already taken control of Lorima in 2019, has acquired Australian rigging manufacturer Ronstan, followed by Romania-based mast and carbon parts specialist Axxon Composites.
Wichard, which now employs 650 people and generates sales of €110 million, has got itself a fine industrial facility and its own 54,000-square-foot site (5,000 m²). This latest acquisition enables Wichard to control the entire rigging sector, as well as the market for crossbeams and martingale stays for our multihulls, with Sparcraft for aluminum profiles for sailboats up to 70 feet, Axxon for the same sizes, but in carbon, and finally Lorima, for super and mega yachts - up to 150 feet.
