New Cyclone™ solid-state radars with pulse compression

The equipment manufacturer based in Fareham, U.K. is introducing a new line of the latest generation of beam-type radars at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), which runs October 27-31.

The Cyclone radar - as it is known - combines a stylish airplane wing design and advanced technology and is seriously robust (it can withstand wind strengths in excess of 100 knots). It comes in 3, 4 and 6-foot sizes - and with two power levels for each size. Compact (13.2” / 33.54 cm high) and light in weight (51 lbs / 23 kg for the 3-foot model), the Cyclone radar provides a fast 60 rpm rotation speed and accurate 360-degree perception and tracking. Up to 100 ARPA targets are distinct in real time, even with your multihull going at full speed. Precision radar imaging is provided through CHIRP beam refinement and pulse compression technology for optimal target separation and long-range resolution. All Cyclone models integrate with Raymarine Axiom, Axiom+, Axiom Pro and Axiom XL multifunction displays.
