Founded in 1974 and based in Cortez, Colorado, USA, Osprey is a specialist in technical bags for outdoor activities. Headquartered in the foothills of the San Juan Mountains, the company is committed to minimizing its impact on the environment, both in terms of materials used and manufacturing methods.
Osprey’s Downburst backpack is not afraid of sea spray or bad weather! Featuring a waterproof main compartment, the bag also features quick-drying exterior materials that are well-suited to rainy days. For trips ashore, the Downburst is equipped with a breathable, comfortable AirSpeed suspension system. This makes the bag easy to adjust and provides ventilation for rapid drying, even in hot, humid weather or after a rain shower.
To ensure watertightness (certified IPX5 - non-submersible), the interior of the bag is fully protected thanks to its laminated PU, integrally RF welded construction. The bag also features pockets on the outside, a large pocket on the inside of the back panel and an external hydration reservoir sleeve with center pass-through port.
The bag is made from recycled nylon fabric and features PU-laminated YKK RC external zippers for enhanced weather protection.
The Downburst is available in men’s and women’s versions, in two sizes and four colors - yellow, dark gray, green and blue.
Recommended retail price: €320-350.
