The world's leading satellite navigation company introduces the GPSMAP® 79s, a new handheld marine GPS with a high-resolution, anti-glare color display and preloaded charts.
GPSMAP® 79s is compatible with BlueChart® g3 charts. In addition to a 3-axis, tilt-compensated compass, the GPSMAP 79s uses reliable GNSS that supports multiple satellite constellations, giving boaters access to data worldwide. In all boating conditions, the GPSMAP 79s prevents fogging and dramatically improves chart contrast with a larger, optically enhanced display and 2.5 times the resolution of the previous range. The new color display is specially designed for life on the water and features a scratch-resistant glass lens for excellent readability even in bright sunlight. The GPSMAP 79s offers users up to 19 hours of battery life in GPS mode. Waterproof and buoyant in case you dropped it overboard, the device is perfectly suited for the harsh marine environment. With 8GB of memory, the GPSMAP 79s can record all your trips; up to 10,000 waypoints and 250 routes can be stored.
