IPX72 water resistance compliant, the inReach Mini 2 can be paired with a variety of devices, including GPSMAP® 8400 Series and GPSMAP 723/923/1223 Series chartplotters, as well as quatix® 7 Series connected watches among others. Sailors can easily view and respond to incoming messages and, in the event of an emergency, trigger an interactive SOS directly from their compatible connected device. The battery provides up to 14 days’ use in default mode with a 10-minute tracking interval and up to 30 days in extended 30-minute tracking mode. To communicate using an inReach Mini 2, an active satellite subscription is required. Different packages are available for individuals and professionals, ranging from monthly packages to annual contracts. Subscription prices start at €14.99 per month.
The inReach Mini 2 Marine Bundle is expected to be available in the next few weeks at a suggested retail price of € 449.99. The bundle includes a battery that provides up to 14 days’ use in default mode with a 10-minute tracking interval and up to 30 days in extended 30-minute tracking mode. It also includes a mounting system, marine hardware, a 12-volt power cable and a floatation cord.
