Garmin Force Kraken

A new - and intelligent - electric motor!

Designed primarily for fishermen, the Force Kraken electric motor developed by Garmin is an attractive choice for light multihulls and dinghies.

The Kraken features an extra-long shaft and a swivel mount so it can be installed just about anywhere on the boat - which can be handy when the outboard bracket is already occupied by a “traditional” motor.

Thanks to the reception of multi-band GPS signals and the integrated heading and altitude reference system, the Kraken offers you the possibility of maintaining your position without anchoring, even in strong wind and/or current(s), since the announced thrust is 45 kg (100 lbs) with a 36 V power supply and 36 kg (80 lbs) with the 24 V power supply. The new Garmin motor can also follow routes and be controlled via a wireless remote or via the Garmin quatix 7 watch.

As an option, fishing enthusiasts can treat themselves to an integrated depth sounder that can scan in three modes - Forward, Down and Perspective.

The Kraken is due to go on sale in October, with several models available: white, with a 63“, 75” or 90“ shaft, and black in 63” or 75” versions. The two black models will be sold with a GT56UHD transducer. Suggested retail prices will range from €4,500 to €5,200, depending on the options chosen.
