The former has a power of 100 W, as opposed to 200 W for the latter. Both retain the features of the Furuno NXT series such as Doppler signal processing - useful for differentiating between dangerous targets on a collision course with your multihull - and more powerful antennas with a long pulse transmission of 48 μs over more than 32 miles. These radars are powered by 24 V, are waterproof (IP56) and can withstand extreme temperatures: -25°C to +55°C (-13°F to 131°F).
