Manufacturer CC Design doesn’t pull any punches when it claims to produce the world’s most luxurious made-to-measure duvet, or comforter.
Now that this (admittedly simplified) introduction has been made, Christophe Cotte, artisan and master craftsman at CC Design, can reveal his secret: this duvet is quite simply exceptional, because it’s stuffed with eiderdown!
More expensive by weight than white truffles, the feathers of this diving duck cost the astronomical sum of $15.90 (€15) per gram, no less... At this price, eiderdown, patiently retrieved from nests after the brood has left, still has a shocking argument capable of seducing the most demanding and exclusive customers: this feather is in fact the most insulating feather to be found on earth, enabling these ducks to thrive in some of the coldest climates on the planet.
Each duvet contains 380 grams of eiderdown per square meter to provide exceptional warmth and comfort. As a result, this duvet is usually reserved for multiyacht owners, costing a whopping $62,535 (€59,000)!
CC Design is based in Antibes, France, and has been awarded the “Entreprise Patrimoine Vivant” label, which recognizes the excellence of its industrial and artisanal skills.
They also produce opulent 200g duvets from $15,547 (€14,650) and a mattress for luxury units at $175,000 (€159,000). A good night’s sleep on board is priceless!
