Boom brake

There is nothing worse than an accidental gybe. It can cause material as well as personal damage. The boom brake is the only solution for avoiding the worst, but although it is a good system, it is often not very aesthetic. Aerofleet has just presented a boom brake which can be completely integrated into the boom. This system allows the boom to be slowed during the gybe. It automatically controls all the vertical and horizontal movements of your boom. It doesn't restrain it, but stabilises it, allowing you to furl the sail or take in a reef quite calmly. A boom brake also allows you to sail goosewinged, or immobilise the boom at anchor... In short, it is useful and in addition, it is attractive. What more could you ask for?
