Torqueedo has made electric propulsion its specialty, and at the Düsseldorf boat show, the manufacturer unveiled some even more powerful new products, associated with even more efficient batteries. The 100kW motors are in fact associated with batteries which offer 30% extra capacity. The new Deep Blue 100i 2400 requires very little maintenance, and delivers its exceptional power at 2,400 rpm, with 390 newton-meters (220 ft-lb) of torque over the whole range of engine speeds.
