A simple yet exciting trimaran project

Eclectic Swedish naval architect Stefan Törnblom is proposing a new all-carbon trimaran.

For the moment, even though the Vaxholm Komposit shipyard (based in the Stockholm archipelago, a few miles east-northeast of the Swedish capital) is ready to build it, this project will only start when there are five firm orders. The architect has favored simplicity with a fixed structure - but dismantlable for transport and winter storage - and appendages reduced to the strict minimum: one pivoting centerboard pivoting in each hull and a central rudder. The very generous sail area promises exceptional performance, all the more so, given the lightness of this boat! Inside, there are four berths (including a double) for coastal cruising.
