The specialist in large custom luxury catamarans already operates out of two sites (including a very recent one) in Gdańsk, Poland, but is preparing to open a third yard in Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.
For the builder, demand in the Middle East region is indeed significant, justifying an investment of nearly 30 million euros with the aim of expanding its industrial capacity by building a new state-of-the-art facility. Sunreef Yachts has already acquired a 16-acre (65,000 m²) site on which the construction of a first 140,000 square foot (13,000 m²) building is imminent. The new yard will begin production in September 2023, initially employing around 50 staff. Within three years, the site is expected to be employing up to 800 people.
