In collaboration with naval architect Matthias Krenz, German builder Slyder Catamarans has unveiled a particularly ambitious and elegant 80-footer. Technologically, there will be a hybrid propulsion system available as standards combined with very modern but also simple to use maneuvering systems.
The Slyder 80 will feature twin helm stations and two U-shaped bench seats at mid-height: this Sports/Flybridge configuration has been called SLY-FLY by the shipyard. As for the design, it’s going to be difficult not to have an opinion about the pronounced deck sheer and the bows with their strongly reversed slope... The height of the carbon hulls contrasts skillfully with the discreet superstructures - that are covered by a maximum area of solar panels. The nacelle is a beautiful 410 square feet (38 m²) in area and has a headroom of 7’2” (2.2 m). In the cabins, there are large berths measuring 5’11” x 6’10” (1.8 m x 2.1 m).
