Rolex Fastnet Race Cherbourg

Maxi Edmond de Rothschild dominates over all

Cherbourg, 9:25 pm, Monday, August 9th: the Ultim Maxi Edmond de Rothschild, skippered by the power duo of Franck Cammas and Charles Caudrelier has just won the Rolex Fastnet Race Cherbourg for the second time in a row - the previous occasion being the 2019 edition.

The flying trimaran managed to put significant distance between herself and her main rivals, Actual Ultim and Sodebo Ultim 3, with fourth place in real time going to Argo, leader of the MOCRA class. As a bonus, the record for the event was broken – this now stands at one day, 9 hours, 14 minutes and 58 seconds. For the skippers often used to managing their machines alone or two-handed, racing with a crew at hand is a new and very rewarding experience – allowing them sometimes to discover the full potential of their trimarans.
