From this spring onwards, the enrolments then the selections will be taking place all over the world, to find the best young sailors ready to do battle aboard the Flying Phantom Elite. Aboard this flyer, the best from each country will meet up for a national final at the end of 2017, and finally for the world final at the end of 2018.

The 2015-2016 edition saw the New Zealanders Olivia Mackay and Micah Wilkinson win, and not by chance. They were just 20 years old last year when, apart from their Foiling Generation champion titles, they pocketed a bronze medal in the Nacra 17 World Cup (the Olympic catamaran), and the under-23 Nacra 17 World Champion title. So, who is going to succeed them?
