Rallye des Iles du Soleil

Confirmation of the 2022 edition

For its fourth edition, the Rallye des Iles du Soleil will again be starting from Marina La Palma, at Santa Cruz de La Palma in the Canary Islands, and there will now be a new stopover available in the Cape Verde Islands, in the Bay of Mindelo.

Departing on October 28th 2022, the first leg will involve a few days of sea – to cover 970 nautical miles - allowing participants and crews to get their sealegs. The fleet will be accommodated in Mindelo Marina or in the protected bay, allowing them to revictual and sort out any small technical problems that may have occurred during the first few days under way. The big jump of 2,130 miles is scheduled to set off on November 9th, heading due west towards the island of Marie-Galante off Guadeloupe, for two weeks of downwind sailing, pushed along by the northeast trade winds. The Rallye des Iles du Soleil is a much more intimate alternative to the famous ARC: around thirty participants are expected. The rally is open to multihulls over 10 meters (33 feet) in length. And also to monohulls!
