Race for Water in Cuba

Race for Water and its crew arrived in Havana at the end of July, for an 18-day stay in Cuba.

Having left at the beginning of July from Caroline Bay Marina, the mixed solar-hydrogen/kite powered vessel finally took 13 days at an average speed of 3.5 knots to cover the 1300 miles separating Bermuda and Cuba. Thirteen days disturbed by the all too frequent encounters with plastic waste floating on the surface of the water, as the crew members related having just disembarked from their trip…

After Cuba, the odyssey continues for the catamaran, with the Dominican Republic.
