In 2022, the ending of the Paris Boat Show at the Porte de Versailles in southwest Paris, undoubtedly created a void for the marine industry - thinking in particular of motor boats less than 30 feet (9 m) in length, charter companies and destination promoters.
Although the Fédération des Industries Nautiques (France’s marine industries federation), owner of the show, initially attempted to relaunch the event on the banks of the Seine in October, then in the spring, the project was ultimately abandoned. A new four-day indoor show was finally announced at the FIN general meeting. The Paris Nautic Show, as it will be known, is logically trying to ride the wave of the success of the Paris Olympic Games, as evidenced by its poster, which is as vintage as can be. The boat show will take place from Wednesday 26 to Sunday 30 November at the Parc des Expositions du Bourget. This new location, less than 15 kilometers / 9 miles northeast of Paris city center, has many advantages: proximity to Charles-de-Gaulle international airport, easy access for exceptional load trucks transporting big boats, and generous parking facilities. Two halls, each 2,000 m2 (21,500 square feet) have already been reserved; the width of the doors, which reaches 9 m (30 feet), allows access to multihulls up to 50 feet in length. For this first edition, the FIN hopes to attract 250 exhibitors (300 to 400 boats) and 100,000 visitors, and fully intends to make this new boat show an unmissable event on the international scene.
