New 51

The first 3D images

Fountaine Pajot has just unveiled the very first images and the specifications of its next model, replacing the Saba 50.

To find out the name of this long-awaited new model, we will probably have to wait until early 2022, when the boat is due to be launched (or even a little longer!) The design, as ever, entrusted to Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design, does not herald a new generation - on the contrary, it is very close to the latest models. On the other hand, the 51 does bring a few new innovations, such as the XXL-sized opening between the saloon and the cockpit, four layout versions from 4 to 6 cabins with interesting variations around the owner's suite, flush-decked solar panels on the coachroof - up to 2000 W - and finally the possibility of installing a hybrid propulsion system. Under sail, compared to the Saba 50, it will benefit from a longer waterline length and an upwind sail area increased by nearly 10% - but the displacement is up 15%.
