Laurent Ludwiczak, specialist in one-off boat projects through his company, are this year presenting us with a new range by the name of Navis.
The 55 has very narrow hulls at the front with a marked forefoot and strongly inverted bows. On deck, the nacelle's footprint is deliberately reduced in order to limit displacement. Associated with a foam sandwich construction, the design promises a laden displacement of around 13½ tons, and you can count two tons less than that in lightship condition. Given the custom principle, the layouts are relatively free, though still require thorough study before construction, as the various bulkheads are structural and therefore contribute to the catamaran's rigidity. In principle, the starboard hull is dedicated to the Owner. Particular care has been given to the accessibility of the various technical elements. A Navis 60 is also available.
