At the end of August, the regattas got under way again in AC 45s, for the second season. And with 11 boats present, 55 crew and a new race format, the AC 45 World Series in San Francisco put on a very good show...
But in the end, as always, Oracle Team USA Spithill dominated, ahead of Luna Rossa Piranha and Team Korea in the fleet racing. In the Match race, the final brought together Oracle Team USA Spithill and... Oracle Team USA Coutts, with Super Coutts taking the victory. All this shows that it won't be easy to get the 'silver jug' back from the Americans!
The latest news is that the French Energy Team has decided to abandon the idea of building an AC 72 for the 2013 Cup, but is already working on the 35th edition...
