After two tricky years through the pandemic, the Rallye des Iles du Soleil is back on course for this 2022 edition.
This transatlantic rally is open to all sailboats, monohulls and catamarans, measuring more than 33 feet (10 meters) in length. Participants benefit from the safety aspect and the social side, two values that are inseparable for the organizers, the Grand Pavois Organisation. The route will again be organized in two stages, between the island of La Palma in the Canaries and the island of São Vicente in Cape Verde, then a second leg from Mindelo to the Baie de Saint-Louis on the island of Marie-Galante, just off Guadeloupe. 28 yachts are officially registered for this 2022 edition, including 9 multihulls. Among them, there are 4 Fountaine-Pajots (with a Saona 47, a Helia 44 and two Astrea 42), 2 Lagoons (a Lagoon 440 and a Lagoon 450S), 1 C Cat 37 (C Catamarans), 1 Privilège 465 (Privilège Marine) and 1 Neel 43 (Neel Trimarans). The departure from La Palma is scheduled for Friday, October 28, bound for Mindelo. The second departure will be on Wednesday, November 9 for Marie-Galante. The arrivals are expected from November 21/22 for the front-runners.
